Made up of nearly 300 disposed lightbulbs collected from the recycling bins of local shops, ‘Pearlescent’ is a luminous sculpture that plays on the lustre and materiality of disposable and recycled lightbulbs to convey the fragility of our own excessive and disproportionate use of energy in the face of a climate emergency.
